This is how the painting looks now.  Next I will get rid of the trees that I don't like by wetting them and then gently lifting them out with a sponge or a small brush.  Since this is a work in progress you will have to check back to see how it goes.  Don't forget to bookmark my site!

I have now lighten the tree area that I did not like.  At this point I feel like the painting is close to being finished. 
Update:  Here is the final painting! I added a little house on the hillside on the right just to give the composition balance.
