At this point, I have started to add the leaves of the flowers and the shadows that the flowers have cast onto the stone wall. I have also added a shadow on the right side of the window facing. Notice too that I have lifted the window inside the dark area. – Almost done!

Here is my drawing of the window. Notice that I do not draw every flower. I just put a few lines in to remind me of where I plan to paint the flowers.

A birthday present arrives – wrapped with this sweet red polka dot ribbon. I could not throw it out because it was so cute, so I wrapped it around my favorite blue vase. The tulips are begging to be painted and it all came together in this bright and cheerful painting, Blue Vase with Polka Dots!
